A love letter to chaos – Poetry by Cody Phillips

In the realm of chaos, I crave the Ice.  Flames dancing wildly, refusing to subside.
Chasing elusive stars, as the sun emerges bright.
My pupils dilate like a haunting dime.
With a runny nose, I plead for absolution.
Praying for these woes to find conclusion.
A razor’s edge on the table, tempting fate’s grip.
Contemplating driving off the cliff’s deadly tip.
I’m a raging inferno, consumed by flames.
But your love halted my destructive aims.
Life’s toll creeps on, you alone truly see.
I’d have drowned in codeine, sans you, inevitably.
Enduring storms and rising floods, you stood by me.
Amidst my frigid, drug-laden reality.
I wonder what you see in this dealer of vice.
Each love letter etched in blood, a desperate slice.

I would tell you where I live, but I live in different places every few months. I enjoy traveling and seeing new things. I have been a professional photographer for many years now and do all styles of photography. I enjoy modeling from time to time as well. I make candles, Chapstick, tea, spell jars, sage bundles...I collect crystals and I like painting. I sell the crafts I create, to make room for more.
